Conditions of consignment in short
Seller's commission
We take your objects on commission and retain 20% (plus 19% VAT on the commission) of the proceeds in the event of a sale. For wider consignments by arrangement.
Insurance
The items are insured through our art insurance; the insurance premium amounts to 0.5% of the agreed limit price.
Settlement
Three to four weeks after the auction you will receive your settlement, provided we received the payment.
If the items cannot be sold, no further costs arise, except insurance premium. Excluded are any transport costs or external expert's fees.
Artist resale rights
Pursuant § 26 UrhG (German Copyright Act), the seller is obliged to pay the resale artist rights tax on the sales proceeds of all original works of art and original photographic works whose creators died less than 70 years before completion of sale. The seller shall bear a charge amounting to:
• 2% of the hammer price from 400 to 50.000 €
• 1.5% of the hammer price from 50.001 to 200.000 €
